<li>Finding <a href="http://library.thinkquest.org/J0112392/simile.html" target="_blank">Poetry examples</a> on the net supported the teaching of new poetry forms.</li>
<li>The use of visual images on our class W.A.L.Ts (I found these easily using a <a href="http://www.how-to-study.com/images/simile2.jpg" target="_blank">&#8216;Google Image&#8217; search</a>)</li>
<li>Teaching a variety of poems meant that students learnt and experiemented with different poems.</li>
<li>The students were encouraged to keep an &#8220;Ideas Book&#8221; which enabled them to run with an idea when it was time to write.</li>
<li>Sharing our poems with our <a href="http://room8ranzau.blogspot.com/2008/09/video-conference.html" target="_blank">buddy class via a web conference</a> meant that our students had a live audience.</li>
<li>Recording our <a href="http://voicethread.com/share/195388/" target="_blank">spoken poems onto a voicethread</a> meant that others could listen and our successful poems were celebrated!</li>
